Our Story: Turning "What Now?" into "What's next?"
Our Purpose
Cancer is a malignant force. It doesn’t just attack the body; it robs joy, drains resources, and leaves an aftermath of grief and emptiness that the word "remission" doesn't quite cover.
Our founder, Jonathan Acott is a six-time survivor who knows that the hardest part isn't always the treatment—it’s the "what now?" that follows. They found their answer in movement, living by the mantra: "As long as I’m moving, I’m not dead."
Jonathan has travelled the world, running a marathon on every continent, becoming the first 6-time survivor to do so. He has climbed the highest mountains and had countless other adventures, living the best life he can, but in that process realised his privilege and recognised a harsh reality: resilience often requires resources.
Whether it’s the cost of proper running shoes, the wool for a knitting project, or the fees for a barista course, money shouldn't be the "stop sign" for someone trying to heal.
The Gift of Go was born to turn those stop signs into green lights.
We don't offer clinical intervention; we offer the spark. We provide gifts of up to £300 to survivors, caregivers, and children affected by cancer. We believe that a hobby isn't "just a distraction"—it is a lifeline. By funding the "little things," we help people navigate their survivorship journey, regain their agency, and fulfil their potential.
Cancer takes. We give the Go.
