"We are here to empower those affected by cancer to reclaim their joy and build resilience by removing the financial barriers to their passions. We provide direct 'micro-gifts' that turn aspirations into action, ensuring that while cancer may take much, it never takes away the freedom to go."

Jonathan Acott, Founder, The Gift of Go, 6 time Cancer survivor.

Our "GO" Values

Small Steps, Big Heart

  • The Philosophy: We believe that moving forward doesn't always have to be a giant leap. Sometimes, it’s just about having the courage to take the next small step. Whether you’re walking or running, the goal is simply to keep your heart in motion.

  • The "Go" Spirit: Celebrating every milestone, no matter how tiny it feels.

Kindness Over Paperwork

  • The Philosophy: You’ve spent enough time filling out forms and waiting for answers. We want to be the easiest part of your journey. We lead with trust and a helping hand, focusing on your dreams rather than your paperwork.

  • The "Go" Spirit: A simple, human-to-human process that puts people before process.

Strength in Togetherness

  • The Philosophy: No one should have to carry a heavy burden alone. Resilience is something we grow together—with our families, our friends, and our community. We’re here to support the whole family, ensuring everyone feels held and heard.

  • The "Go" Spirit: Creating a soft landing for patients, caregivers, and children alike.

Finding Meaning in the Struggle

  • The Philosophy: "It’s only pain; you’ve been through worse." This isn't about ignoring the hard times, but about acknowledging how much you’ve already overcome. We help you take that quiet inner strength and turn it into something beautiful for your future.

  • The "Go" Spirit: Honoring your past while gently making space for your new beginning.

Because Joy is a necessity

Post-treatment depression is a quiet burden. We believe that lacing up a pair of hiking boots or lacing together a new melody is as vital to recovery as any medicine. We fund the passions that make life worth living again.

We exist to Ignite Sparks and Build Resilience.

Because we know inclusive Resilience is essential

Cancer is a blast radius. We support the whole ecosystem—the patient fighting the battle, the exhausted caregiver holding the fort, and the child whose life was put on hold. We help the entire family find their stride again.

Because we want Direct Impact

No red tape. No complex applications. We’ve been through enough bureaucracy in the hospital system. Our gifts go straight to your passion, moving you from "patient" to "participant" in record time.

Group of Runners

The Launch Event: 27kg of Steel.
26.2 Miles.
Infinite Heart.

To launch this mission, I’m starting with a journey that reflects the weight of survival. This April, I will be walking the London Marathon in a full, 27kg suit of plate armour.

I am carrying this weight so that others don't have to. Every clank of the metal on the London pavement is a fundraiser for our very first round of grants. By sponsoring a mile or a kilogram, you are directly lacing up the shoes of a survivor or handing a paintbrush to a child whose life has been on hold.

This world-record attempt is more than just a personal challenge; it is an invitation. When you support my walk, you aren't just helping me hopefully break a record—you are giving someone else the Gift of Go.

Life is heavy. Let’s make it lighter, together.
